4. MANAGEMENT

(i)   The Society will be administered by a Management Committee meeting for a minimum of TEN times per annum and for which a quorum will be FIVE. It will consist of the following:

 

 Chairman Hon. Secretary

 Vice-Chairman Four other Members

 Hon. Treasurer

 

 Minutes of Management Committee Meetings will be available to members.

 

(ii)   The Management Committee shall have the authority to appoint committees to which it can delegate any of its powers, subject to the right of the Management Committee to approve or reject proposals so made.

 

(iii)   Any other member/members appointed by the Management Committee to carry out a particular task shall be solely responsible to that Committee.

 

(iv)   The Management Committee shall be the agent of all members of the Society, individually and collectively. They shall have authority to contract on behalf of all members for all matters within the objects of the Society and shall have the management and control of the business and affairs of the Society.

 

 

(v)The Management Committee shall have the right to co-opt for any vacancies on the Management Committee, except that of Chairman. A Chairman can only be elected at a General Meeting of the Society.

 

5. FINANCE

(i) The financial year shall end on the 30th September each year.
 

(ii) A bank account or accounts shall be kept into which the Hon. Treasurer shall pay all monies received. Cheques shall be signed jointly by any two of the following:

 Chairman  Vice-Chairman

Hon. Treasurer Hon. Secretary

 

(iii) No payment other than for expenses properly incurred in connection with the work of the Society shall be made, directly or indirectly, to any member in respect of any services to the Society.

 

(iv) The annual subscription and entrance fee for all categories of membership of the Society shall be as set by the outgoing Management Committee, to be ratified at the subsequent Annual General Meeting. All subscriptions shall be paid to the Hon. Treasurer. The first subscription shall be due and paid immediately upon receipt of notice of election to the Society. Subsequent subscriptions shall become due on the Ist October in each year and shall be paid prior to the Annual General Meeting, otherwise the right to vote is negated. Membership ceases, together with all rights derived therefrom, until the renewal subscription is received. Should membership lapse for more than twelve months a fresh membership application will be necessary.
